How many alarms do I need?

Admin

Updated: Jul 8, 2021

To be compliant with the upcoming changes you will requires a heat alarm in every kitchen, a CO alarm where you have a source of fuel burning such as a boiler, stove, fireplace, and a smoke detector in the most frequented rooms (living room) and in every circulation space on each storey such as hallways and landings. For most homes this will be 1 heat, 1 CO and 2 smoke alarms.

If you only require a heat alarm you will need to make sure it is the same brand and can interconnect with your existing alarms. If this is hardwired it will require an electricians visit and involve substantial work to add a single device. In most cases it will be cheaper to replace all existing alarms with one of our bundles as no electrician is require and you can fit it all yourself, no drilling required.
